“Villarreal compete well and it'll be a difficult game, but we're confident”, said Carlo Ancelotti in the press conference ahead of the clash. The Italian coach welcomes back Vini Jr. from suspension and Casemiro and Lucas Vázquez, who missed the last outing through injury. Marco Asensio is also in the squad, having scored the winning goal on Sunday against Granada.
Villarreal go into the game having secured victory in their last two matches, including a win against Betis at the Benito Villamarín on the last matchday to move into sixth place. Unai Emery’s team have a record of nine wins, eight draws and six defeats in LaLiga. This will be a tough fixture for the Whites against a side with one of the best home records in the competition.
