Real Madrid were once again crowned league champions with a 3-0 win over Valencia Basket in the 2024/25 season final series. The 38th Endesa League trophy, lifted by Sergio Llull at La Fonteta, marks a special milestone for the most decorated club in Spanish and European basketball - it's the 100th in Real Madrid's history, since they sealed their first Spanish championship success back in 1951.

Real Madrid's total trophy haul reads 11 European Cups, 38 Leagues, 29 Copas del Rey, 10 Spanish Super Cups, 5 Intercontinental Cups, 4 FIBA Saporta Cups, 1 Korac Cup, 1 EuroCup and 1 Copa Latina, a quite remarkable collection that continues to grow year after year.

The madridistas' first ever basketball title came in June 1951, when they were crowned Spanish champions in San Sebastián, beating Barcelona 46-37 in the final - led by Freddy Borrás from the bench. The 1950s yielded 9 titles for the club, including the first ever League win (1956/57), the sole Copa Latina success (1952/53) and the first double: League and Spanish Cup (1956/57).

4 European Cups in 5 years
The 1960s was the decade that affirmed Real Madrid's status as the best club on European soil. Our team took 4 European Cups in almost consecutive fashion (1964, 1965, 1967 and 1968), in a period that saw madridista legends born in the form of Pedro Ferrándiz, Clifford Luyk and Emiliano Rodríguez.

League dominance
Real Madrid boast more league titles than any other club in Spain (38), well ahead of Barcelona (20). Over the course of the 60s and 70s, they dominated the competition, winning 10 consecutive titles between 1968 and 1977. More historic players made a name for themselves during this spell, including BrabenderCabrera, Cristóbal RodríguezRullánCorbalán and Szczerbiak.

Pablo Laso's time on the bench saw a return to Madrid's domestic dominance, which has since continued under Chus Mateo. The team have clinched the league title seven times in the last 11 years, since 2015. Teams and stars who now boast legendary status, like Jayce CarrollFelipe ReyesRudy FernándezSergio Rodríguez and Luka Doncic, all contributed to those successes, alongside others who continue to deliver, like Sergio Llull, Campazzo and Tavares.

Memorable season
If there is a single season that will live on in the memories of madridismo, it's 2014/15. That team, coached by Laso and captained by Felipe Reyes, Sergio Llull and company, got their hands on an incredible five trophies: the Intercontinental Cup, European Cup, League, Copa del Rey and Super Cup. Real Madrid won the lot that term. Our team were named European champions twenty years on from their last continental crown, lifting La Novena in Madrid against Olympiacos - with MVP Nocioni and Carroll putting on a special display.

Petrovic's Saporta Cup
Madrid won their second Saporta Cup in 1989. It was a trophy remembered for the sublime performance by the Croatian genius. Petrovic posted 62 points against Snaidero de Caserta (117-114), and his duel with Óscar Schmidt (44) has gone down in the annals of European basketball.

Llull's impossible basket to clinch La Undécima
Our team wrote a truly remarkable script on the way to the 2022/23 EuroLeague title. In an injury-plagued season, Real Madrid overcame the odds to book a place in the playoffs. They were paired against a Partizan Belgrade side put them on the ropes with victory in the opening two games in Madrid. But Chus Mateo's boys somehow managed to turn the tie around - an unprecedented feat in the competition - to reach the Final Four. With semi-final victory over Barcelona, Olympiacos were the final opposition. In an epic clash in Kaunas, Sergio Llull posted a magical basket with just 3.1 seconds left on the clock, overcoming Fall's 2.18m frame to seal La Undécima for Real Madrid.

Copa and Super Cup kings
Real Madrid are also the most decorated club in the two cup competitions, with 29 Copas del Rey, two more than Barcelona, and 10 Spanish Super Cups, four more than their big rivals. In the latter tournament, our team lifted six successive trophies between 2019 and 2024.
