Mastantuono signs for Real Madrid
The 17-year-old midfielder, who has come from River Plate, is the youngest ever to make his debut for Argentina in an official match.

Franco Mastantuono (Azul, Buenos Aires; 14/08/2007) has joined Real Madrid. The club has acquired one of the most promising players in football in the world. He is 17 years old and recently became the youngest player to make his debut with the Argentina national team in an official match. He comes from River Plate, where he has broken several records of precocity.
Mastantuono boasts excellent passing vision and has made 61 appearances and scored 10 goals for River Plate. He joined their youth ranks in 2019. In January 2024, at the age of 16, he became one of the youngest players in the Argentine club's history to make his debut in an official match.
In February 2024, he opened his goalscoring account and broke another record by becoming the youngest player to score for River (16 years, 5 months and 24 days). And in March, he won his first trophy, the Argentine Super Cup. As a result of his outstanding performances, he was called up by Scaloni for the international matches in June. Mastantuono made his debut against Chile at the age of 17 years, 9 months and 22 days, becoming the youngest ever to play an official match for the full national team.
