Coaches in Benin, Senegal and Morocco take part in Foundation Match for Africa

The event represented the first training workshop of the season for the African continent's socio-sporting schools.

Coaches and educators from the Foundation’s socio-sporting schools in Benin, Senegal and Morocco took part in the Foundation Match online training workshop. The session offered a meeting point in which participants were able to discuss practical strategies regarding the methodology related to the sharing of the club’s values, whilst represents a key element within the continuous development of the coaches in the various countries.

On this occasion, the training was aimed at educators from French-speaking countries from the socio-sporting schools in the north and centre of Africa in conjunction with Misiones Salesianas in Porto Novo, Thies and Dakar; Proyde in Akassato; and Paideia in Tanger. In these countries, the emphasis is placed on the need to individualise the teaching-learning model for the participants’ benefit.
Thorough methodology
The educators shared their thoughts, experiences and strategies regarding the application of the training principles that define the thorough methodology and involve linking learning to play as a natural way in which for children to learn, participation as an effective strategy to allow all students to remain active during training sessions and the importance of contextualising the learning experience.

The Foundation Match offered a meeting point in which the Real Madrid Foundation teaching staff discuss ways of conceptualising sport based on values-based education and the motivation and learnings to be gained via the sport played by the children in the socio-sporting schools.
