NEWS | 18/02/2020

The Real Madrid point guard has landed the award for the standout performer in the finals of the ACB League, the Spanish Super Cup and the Copa del Rey.
The masterclass produced by Facundo Campazzo in Málaga, as he paced Real Madrid to the club's 28th Copa del Rey crown saw him named as the competition's MVP, which represents his third such gong in a row, after having picked up the 2018/19 Endesa League and the 2020 Spanish Super Cup awards.

His amazing progress has seen him be the dominant force in the most recent ACB competitions. Campazzo holds the honour of being the first Argentine to scoop an MVP in an ACB final. Last season saw Real Madrid lift the league trophy after downing Barça. In the four-game series, he averaged 14 points, 3.7 assists and posted a PIR of 19.2.

Two in space of three months
The madridista closed out last season as the best player in the league final and opened the current campaign by being crowned as the MVP in the Spanish Super Cup staged in Madrid. Semi-final opponents Montakit Fuenlabrada and, once again, Barça in the final were made to endure Campazzo's talents as he chalked up 14 points, seven assists and 5.5 rebounds en route to a PIR of 24 in the two games. This represented his second individual prize in barely three months.

Dazzling Copa del Rey displays
Campazzo was simply outstanding in Málaga, averaging a double-double at the tournament: 13.7 points, 10 assists and a PIR of 27. In the semis and the final, the point guard left the Martín Carpena to a standing ovation. That's now a return of three MVP awards in eight months for the Argentine.
