Marcelo moves into 14th on the all-time appearances list

The full-back played his 472nd game, which sees him overtake Amancio (471).
Marcelo continues to add to his legendary status in Real Madrid history and has now become the 14th-highest appearance-maker for the club. The Copa clash with Girona was the Brazilian's 472nd game for the Whites, which sees him move past Amancio (471). Marcelo, who set up Sergio Ramos for the third madridista goal, is currently in his thirteenth season with the team and boasts a quite remarkable trophy haul with 4 European Cups, 4 Club World Cups, 3 European Super Cups, 4 LaLiga titles, 2 Copa del Rey trophies and 3 Spanish Super Cups.

The full-back made his Real Madrid debut on a visit to Deportivo back in January 2007 and since then has made appearances in LaLiga (331), the Champions League (93), the Copa del Rey (28),  the Spanish Super Cup (8), the Club World Cup (8) and the European Super Cup (4). He has also netted 36 goals.

The next player on the all-time appearances list in the Brazilian's sights is Chendo (497). The top 10 places are occupied by Míchel (559), Pirri (561), Camacho (577), Ramos (594), Gento (600), Hierro (601), Santillana (645), Sanchís (710), Casillas (725) and Raúl (741).
