The reserve team remain unbeaten and have collected 17 points from their opening seven games.
Hard work reaps its rewards and Real Madrid Castilla are finding that out as they revel in the fine start they've made to the current campaign. Unbeaten after their opening seven games in Segunda División B Group I, the Whites have amassed 17 points, a tally which represents an improvement on recent seasons and hasn't been achieved since the 2004/05 campaign.

In that season, the club's second string began the campaign with seven straight wins and ended up achieving promotion to Segunda División with a generation of players including Arbeloa, Soldado and Diego López. Fourteen years on, and Santiago Solari's Castilla have prevailed in their three outings at the Di Stéfano, whilst on the road they have recorded two draws and wins apiece. The latest of these away triumphs came last Sunday against Real Valladolid B.

Other promising starts
Between the two aforementioned seasons, in which the Whites have spent time in both Segunda División and Segunda División B, the team's best starts to the season have come in 2008/09 (15 points), 2015/16 (14) and 2011/12 (12).
