Weir scoops Cinco Estrellas Mahou award for January

Caroline Weir picked up the Cinco Estrellas Mahou award for January. The Real Madrid midfielder was awarded the trophy in recognition of her outstanding performances over the past month, during which she played in all six of the team's matches and scored four goals.

After collecting the award, the madridista said: "I feel great. The team's on a good run. We've won a lot of games in a row in the league. Confidence is high. On a personal level, I've managed to help in the games with goals and assists. I feel good and I'm enjoying my time here and in this team".

"We're looking forward to it. We just had a difficult game against Tenerife and we managed to come back with the three points. Every game is important to keep this good run going and to keep going strong in the league. Now we have another big game coming up and we hope to put in a good performance and get another three points”.
