Brazil overcame Serbia in their opening match of the World Cup with a great performance from Vini Jr, who started up front for the Canarinha and participated in both goals. Richarlison scored after the Serbian keeper had blocked a Vini Jr. attempt for the first, the Madrid man then assisted Richarlison's acrobatic finish to make it two. Both goals coming after the break. Rodrygo replaced Vini Jr. in the 76th minute.
The victory places Brazil at the top of the group, tied on points with Switzerland. Both teams face each other next Monday at 5pm CET. Vini Jr, Rodrygo and Militão’s final group stage game is against Cameroon (Friday 2nd December, 8pm CET).
