Today marks seven years since Real Madrid's basketball team got their hands on their fourth FIBA Intercontinental Cup. On the 27th of September 2015, our team got the better of Brazil's Bauru Basket in game two of the final in Sao Paulo, winning 91-79 with Llull named MVP. The win saw Laso's team complete a five-title haul, including the Euroleague, League, Copa del Rey, Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup.

The final was disputed over two games - in the first, the Brazilians surprised Real Madrid, winning 91-90. The Whites would have to win by more than a point in the second game to be crowned champions. Despite Rudy and Taylor missing out, Llull (21 points), Carroll (22), Thompkins (17) and Ayón (15 rebounds) stepped up to lead the team to a 12-point victory. Exactly one year earlier, Real Madrid had clinched the Super Cup, the first of the five titles they would go on to win in the historic period.
