The lecture hall at Real Madrid City hosted the presentation of the Foundation clinics to be held in the near future in Sardinia (Italy) in conjunction with Forte Village Resort. The ceremony was attended by Julio González Ronco, managing director of the Real Madrid Foundation; club ambassador, Álvaro Arbeloa; and Marco Pasquantonio, head of sports activities and leisure at Forte Village Resort.
Arbeloa expressed his support for the Foundation’s clinics programme: “The combination of football, values and fun is the best way of ensuring that the whole family enjoys the holidays”, whilst Pasquantonio stated that: “We’re discovered the best possible partner to work as a team and offer a real experience for the city’s children”.
Over 500 participants
The clinics are to be held between 30 May and 9 September during the summers of 2022 and 2024, with training sessions to take place from Monday to Friday in two 90-minute time slots in the morning and afternoon. The sessions will be led by 12 Foundation coaches, who will teach the participants to create healthy habits, both on and off the field, through sporting activities. Over 500 participants are expected to take part this summer, with children over the age of six poised to stay at the Forte Village Resort, where they will enjoy an education experience through an advanced football course that combines the values-based teaching methodology in the Real Madrid Foundation sessions with the technical and tactical content from the Real Madrid academy.
