Real Madrid is back in action for the second of three games this week and the final matchup of the EuroLeague double-header. After last Tuesday's battling win against a spirited Asvel (74-87), the Whites return to the WiZink Center, where the team remains unbeaten in five games. Madrid will be looking for a ninth victory in the competition against a fierce opponent in Estrella Roja.
The Whites go into the clash on the back of three straight wins (Bayern, Zalgiris and Asvel) and a total of eight victories from ten in the competition, and will be vying to match their best run so far in this season’s EuroLeague of four wins picked up in the month of October. No other side has managed to come away victorious from the WiZink Center so far this campaign. The visitors go into the match with a record of four wins and six defeats, currently sitting in the middle part of the standings after losing on Tuesday in Vitoria (93-74) and they will be looking to pick up their first away win of the season.

As Pablo Laso pointed out in the press conference ahead of the clash, both physical and mental recovery will be decisive for the match, since the fixture calendar is so demanding. For the madridistas, it will be their sixth game in the space of 13 days, in what has been an outstanding month of November so far. Madrid's opponent has been performing well defensively, averaging 69 points against, which is the same as the number of points the team has scored. Meanwhile, Madrid's attack has averaged almost 80, and its home record is up to 85. Another factor to pay attention to is defensive rebounding, as Estrella Roja has been doing very well offensively. Kalinic is the figurehead of a group that combines youth and experience.
Previous meetings see Madrid come out on top
It will be the twelfth time that the two teams face each other in the EuroLeague, with a head-to-head record of 7-4 in favour of Real Madrid. Nevertheless, the Serbians won at the WiZink Center in the last meeting in January of this year. Causeur, who recently put in a brilliant performance against Asvel (25 points in 18 minutes), could make his 300th appearance for the club. The inside trio of Tavares (20.6 PIR), Yabusele (15.6) and Poirier (11.3), in addition to Heurtel (10.3), have been spearheading Laso's team so far in the competition.
