Real Madrid drew on their visit to UDG Tenerife (1-1) on Primera Iberdrola matchday three. David Aznar's team went one down to Koko's first-half strike, but refused to give in and with 85 minutes on the clock, forced an own goal to level proceedings. Their next game comes on the road at Athletic.
Tenerife flew out the blocks strongly in the first half, coming close to going ahead but María José's goal was ruled out for offside. The hosts continued to lay siege to Misa's goal, with the shot-stopper displaying fine reactions to keep out a Martín-Prieto strike from inside the box. With 25 minutes gone, the islanders did take the lead though, when Koko turned in a María José cross. Real Madrid responded well before the break but Rocío's free-kick whistled just over the bar.

Tense finish
Things remained much the same following the restart and María José again came close to beating Misa (55’), before the visitors tested Aline who did superbly to keep out Lorena's effort. Madrid gradually began to pen their opposition back and Esther thought she had levelled on 73 minutes only to see her goal chalked off for offside. David Aznar's team upped the intensity once more and battled on to the end, eventually forcing Patri to turn into her own net from an Esther strike, to clinch a point for the madridistas in Tenerife.
