The Madrid coach receives the award from the Spanish Basketball Coaches Association (AEEB) for the fifth time in his career.
Pablo Laso has been named best coach for the 2020/21 Regular Season. The accolade, awarded by the Spanish Basketball Coaches Association (AEEB), is in recognition of Real Madrid's outstanding run of form, which saw the side go undefeated away from home and top the standings with a record 34 wins from 36 games.
This is the fifth time in Laso's career that he has been honoured with the award, which comes after those for the 2012/13, 2013/14, 2014/15 and 2017/18 campaigns. Under Laso, Real Madrid finished the Regular Season with a record of 34 wins and two defeats, the best all-time ACB record in the current format, while also producing the highest winning percentage (94.4%). The Whites also clinched the Spanish Super Cup for the third year in a row.

Unbeaten on the road
The madridistas achieved a historic milestone in the competition by finishing the Regular Season undefeated on their travels, notching up a total of 18 victories in the games played away from the WiZinK Center.
