"The fight and spirit were really good and that's what got us the point", added
Casemiro was heavily involved in the two key moments at Borussia-Park, assisting Karim Benzema for the first madridista goal before netting the second himself. The Brazilian assessed the team’s efforts: “We controlled the game well, they had two chances and scored two goals but I think we played well. We fought to the end and that’s the path to follow. The opposition have real quality as well, this is the Champions League and we know that every game is really tough”.
“I always think about the team. Whenever we talk about football, we have to do so in relation to the group. That’s the only way I know how to play. We worked hard again, we battled until the last again, that’s something we did brilliantly, fighting for the result to the end”.

“This crest places demands on you. We know we’re not in the best position in the table but this is an important point.

Casemiro: “This crest places demands on you, we've got to keep working".

"We all worked extremely hard and put in a great amount of effort. We must improve, we have to keep working at it”.

Courtois: “Our fight and our spirit were fantastic”
“We played very well, we had all the possession and created a load of chances, the ball just wouldn’t go in for us. For their first goal, we lost the ball in midfield and they transition very quickly, it’s their biggest strength; the second goal was the same. It’s a shame because we played well. Our fight and our spirit were fantastic and that’s what has got us the point”.

“Right up until the 94th minute we were focused on trying to score a goal and not losing our belief because that’s the way football is. You should retain your faith until the very end. Now we have to recover over the next few days because then Huesca are coming to us and we have to win it. Then we’ve got the clash with Inter which will be crucial. It’s non-stop, we have to keep going”.
