Galatasaray ruled the first half of the clash thanks to a brace from Romania's Andone, scoring in minute 21 before firing in a penalty just before the break. In the second half, Sivasspor went a man down when Ghanian Isaac Cofie saw red. Despite that, the side who went into today’s game second placed in the league having only lost once, cut the distance on 72 minutes thanks to Arouna Kone.
Galatasaray struck back immediately through Dutch star Babel who made it 3-1. With six minutes to go, Yesilyurt scored a second for the visitors, who battled to the very last second. Galatasaray got the win, and now sit second in the league table, just one point behind the leaders.
