Participants of Emprendeporte attend the adapted basketball school

NEWS | 15/04/2019

The socio-sports activity for long-term unemployed is developed thanks to the support of KPMG.
Participants of the Emprendeporte program, developed between the Real Madrid Foundation and the Employment Agency of the Madrid City Council, to promote the employability of unemployed people from Madrid, attended a training program at the socio-sports adapted basketball school at the Fernando Martín facilities. A complementary activity to the physical activity sessions that take place twice a week that helps them to acquire social skills and an improvement of their state of mind for the job search.

The students of the adapted basketball school also enjoyed a different session where they work on social inclusion through joint sports practice. Both projects have the support of KPMG (as main sponsor of the Emprendeporte program and collaborator in adapted basketball schools).

Projects with adults at risk of exclusion
The Foundation develops around thirty projects this year with adults at risk of exclusion. Examples of this are the Emprendeporte projects, the physical activity program for the elderly, the program in prisons and, especially, the projects for the homeless, such as the beneficiaries of the Padre Garralda-Horizontes Abiertos Foundation.
