It was a disciplined, committed and forceful display by Real Madrid Castilla at the Di Stéfano which saw them come through match day 12 in the championship. After two weeks without picking up a point, the academy beat an intense, bold Burgos side to take all three. The Whites' efforts were rewarded by a fine Feuillassier strike which tipped the first half in their favour as it flew into the top corner from the edge of the box.

It was to be an incredibly evenly-match fixture. The team from Burgos flew out the blocks and showed no fear, creating problems for the youth side from set-pieces. But the madridistas were able to fall back on the quality of the Argentine midfielder to open the scoring inside the first quarter of an hour. He picked up the ball on the edge of the box and bent it first time into the top corner to leave Mikel Saizar helpless.

It was Feuillassier's third goal of the season.

In need of the points, Burgos continued to stream forward. They pressed high up against Castilla, who were well organised and retained their shape and focus in defensive situations. The visitors' best chance fell to Yaw Annor, but Luca was quick out the blocks in the one-on-one to beat it away before the break.

Hard-earned victory
As the rain came down at Valdebebas, the second half demanded yet more hard work and intensity. The clash turned harsher as the two teams gave it everything they had, but the Whites' back line stood strong right to the end, while Dani Gómez could have made it two in time added on. The academy side ultimately sealed three valuable points and their sixth win of the campaign to finish the day in the promotion spots.
