Ceballos and Mayoral made their debuts in the Champions League

"It is a special day for me, a dream come true", stated the Sevilla-born player.
Dani Ceballos and Borja Mayoral made their debut in the Champions League. Both players came on in the second half of the game against APOEL. The Sevilla-born midfielder, who previously featured in the Spanish Super Cup for Real Madrid, came on in place of Isco in the 72nd minute, whilst the forward came on for Bale in the 82’, making it his second appearance after playing in LaLiga against Valencia. In the final minute of the game against APOEL, he managed to find the back of the net only for it to be ruled as offside.

“I am happy to have started my Champions League dream with a win, it will be hard to forget. It is a special day for me, a dream come true. The team started well and we were electric in the second half, which led to us getting a great win. We are trying to write history, it is in our hands and today we showed the drive we have to win a third consecutive Champions League title”.
