Cristiano Ronaldo is the top scorer for the Whites in the competition (277).
Thanks to the 3-2 away win against Villarreal, Real Madrid reached 5,901 goals in the history of the league and became the first team to reaches this figure. The Cristiano penalty saw the total top another hundred. The Whites lead the way and are followed by Barcelona (5,849 goals) and Athletic Bilbao (4,609).
In this league season, Real Madrid have scored 60 goals in 23 games, with Cristiano Ronaldo the top scorer (16 goals). The highest number of goals ever scored in one season came in the 2011/12 campaign when the team got 121 goals, the record in the history of the competition.
