Goals from Feller and Redondo gave Pau Quesada's side victory over PSG in the Women's Champions League.
Another victory for Real Madrid in the Women's Champions League. Our team secured their second consecutive victory in Europe's top competition after beating PSG in Paris. Goals from Feller (29') and Redondo (47') gave the Madridistas the lead in the first half. Ajibade reduced the deficit in the second half (58'), but Pau Quesada's side were solid at the back to secure three points that keep them near the top of the table.
Both teams wanted to take control from the start. In the 15th minute, Misa replaced Frohms, who went off injured after a heavy challenge. And with our team's first clear chance, the first goal came. A good cross from the left by Yasmim found Feller, who burst into the six-yard box to fire home. From then on, Madrid managed to dominate possession and ended up extending their lead before the break. Weir hit the post, but Redondo was on hand to tuck away the rebound to make it 0-2.
PSG came out stronger after the restart and managed to reduce the deficit with a header from Ajibade in the 58th minute. The home side stepped up a gear in search of an equaliser and had several dangerous chances in a second half that was disrupted by numerous stoppages. However, our team was very solid in defence and managed to hold on to their lead until the end to secure a fine away win in the Women's Champions League.
