Joe Arlauckas also forms part of the fifth group of inductees.
Rudy Fernández has been inducted into the Spanish Basketball Hall of Fame. The Real Madrid legend, who won 26 titles in 13 seasons with our team and is the only player to have won all six gold medals with the Spanish national team, is one of the new members of this select club. The 2025 class is the fifth to be inducted into the Hall of Fame and also includes Joe Arlauckas. The ceremony took place at the Seu Vella in Lleida.
After receiving the award, Rudy Fernández said: "At Real Madrid, I found a great club, where I have been able to achieve so many successes on a personal and collective level. It has also been two incredible decades at the Federation. I never imagined I would win so many titles. I have been lucky enough to play alongside a spectacular generation".
Rudy has been one of the leading figures in our team and a key player in one of the most successful periods in the club's history. He joined the club in 2011 and played 754 games, winning 3 European Cups, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 7 Leagues, 6 King's Cups and 9 Spanish Super Cups. He was twice named to the Euroleague All-Star Team (2012/13 and 2013/14), twice to the Liga All-Star Team (2012/13 and 2013/14), Spanish Super Cup MVP (2012), Copa del Rey MVP (2015) and League final MVP(2017/18).
With the Spanish national team, Rudy won six gold medals (2006 and 2019 World Cups and 2009, 2011, 2015 and 2022 European Championships), three silver medals (2008 and 2012 Olympic Games and 2007 European Championship) and two bronze medals (2016 Olympic Games and 2013 European Championships). He is also the male basketball player who has participated in the most Olympic Games in history, with a total of 6.
Arlauckas, one of the best foreign players in history
The American is one of the most complete scorers to have worn the Real Madrid jersey and, together with Sabonis, formed the inside duo that put Madrid at the top of basketball in the 1990s. In 1996, he played the game that would cement his legendary status. In a visit to Buckler Bologna, he scored 63 points with 24/28 two-point shots and 15/18 free throws, a European Cup scoring record. As a Madrid player, he won the 1995 European Cup, a League title and a Cup Winners' Cup.
