Results of the madridistas called up for their national teams

Keylor Navas started in Costa Rica's win against the United States (4-0).
James and Keylor Navas will be the last of the madridistas to feature in competitive fixtures for their national teams. Cristiano Ronaldo, Bale, Kovacic, Modric, Marcelo, Isco, Nacho, Carvajal, Lucas Vázquez, Morata and Varane all took part in 2018 World Cup qualifiers. Whilst the five Spaniards and the French defender also featured in friendly games. Elsewhere, Marco Asensio featured for Spain Under-21s in their European Championships play-off fixture.

England v Spain (2-2)
Spain v Macedonia (4-0)

Isco scored the equaliser in the friendly against England, with Carvajal - who along with Nacho started the game - claiming the assist. Morata also featured in the Wembley fixture as he and Isco entered the fray on 64 minute. Spain had earlier thrashed Macedonia in their World Cup qualifier. Carvajal, who was involved in the build-up for the opener and provided the assist for the third goal, and Nacho both played the full 90 minutes. Morata was substituted after 60 minutes and Isco came on in the 71st minute. 

France v Ivory Coast (0-0)
France v Sweden (2-1)

Varane completed the full 90 minutes as France came from behind to see off Sweden, a result which sees the French hold on to top spot in their World Cup qualifying group. The defender also featured in France's friendly against the Ivory Coast, in which captained the side and played the opening 45 minutes. 

Argentina v Colombia (3-0)
Colombia v Chile (0-0)
Colombia, with James in the starting lineup, could not overcome Argentina. The madridista was in the starting line-up and played the full 90 minutes in the first clash against Chile at the Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez, in a game that ended in a goalless stalemate. 

Costa Rica v USA (4-0)
Trinidad and Tobago v Costa Rica (0-2)

As he did in the match against Trinidad and Tobago, Keylor Navas kept a clean sheet in Costa Rica's convincing win against the United States in a qualifying match for the 2018 World Cup.

Spain Under-21s v Austria Under-21s (0-0)
Austria Under-21s v Spain Under-21s (1-1)
Marco Asensio and Spain secured qualification for the Under-21 European Championships. The madridista featured in both of the play-off matches against Austria. In the first leg he started the game and played 70 minutes of the 1-1 away draw. In the return leg, he was introduced on 68 minutes.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Isco were on target for Portugal, Wales and Spain respectively.

Portugal v Latvia (4-1)
Cristiano Ronaldo was the star man again for Portugal who are currently second in the group. The Real Madrid striker scored a brace against Latvia at the Algarve stadium in the Portuguese city of Faro. The first came in the 27th minute, scoring a penalty after Nani was fouled. His second and Portugal's third came after he acrobatically put away a cross from Quaresma in the 84th minute. William Carvalho and Bruno Alves were also on the scoresheet.

Wales v Serbia (1-1)
Gareth Bale shone at the City stadium in Cardiff, the madridista scoring his team's goal as they drew against Serbia in their qualifier for the World Cup 2018 in Russia.

Croatia v Iceland (2-0)
Kovacic was in the starting line-up in his team's victory over Iceland in Zagreb. The midfielder was substituted at the break and he was replaced by Modric. The victory means Croatia now top their qualifying group for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The two Madrid midfielders have left the squad ahead of Tuesday's friendly against Northern Ireland.
 
Brazil v Argentina  (3-0)
The Canarinha, with Marcelo starting and playing the full 90 minutes, beat Argentina (3-0) in their qualifier for the World Cup in Russia 2018. The wing-back was removed from the Brazil squad for the game against Peru having accumulated a number of bookings.
