"The team winning matches is the most important thing. Jaycee Carroll put in a great performance today and he also deserved this award".
Sergio Llull has been chosen as the Most Valuable Player of the 2015 Intercontinental Cup, which Real Madrid lifted with victory over Bauru Basket. The guard was key to the Whites' triumph, with 17 points in the first game and 21 in the second. The tie's deciding encounter also saw him claim 5 rebounds and 6 assists. It is Llull's third MVP award inside the space of a year, having also earned the accolade in the Endesa League finals and the Super Cup.

"We had to work hard to win a tournament that came around a bit soon, because we've just come together. I think we managed to dig in and show character and fighting spirit when we needed to show it. Real Madrid are where they belong. They're one of the greatest clubs in the world and we've made sure they're where they deserve to be, and we have to keep going. Now the Super Cup is coming up and there's no let-up. This is the result of many years of hard work. I give 100% when I play and I try to help the team as much as I can, and today my shots went in".
