Ramos: "We're one step from the final and we're going to give it our all at the Bernabéu"

NEWS | 05/05/2015 | Alberto Navarro (Turín)

"Our stadium has to get right behind us in the second leg", said James.
Ramos started the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals and offered the following assessment of Real Madrid's performance in Turin: "It's by no means a good result, but we have the bonus of playing the second leg at home to help us improve things that didn't go well today. We're one step from the final and we're going to give it our all at the Bernabéu".

"What would be disappointing would be going out. There are a lot of conclusions to be drawn. It's one of those days when things don't go for you from the opening minutes. After a bad result you have to stay calm and more united than ever. Making mistakes is part of the game and we have to be self-critical and improve so that things go as we'd like at the Bernabéu".

Message to the supporters
"Taking our place in the Champions League final again is at stake, and where better than at our stadium and in front of our fans. They're favourites looking at the result, but we have the bonus of playing at home. We ask the fans to make a unique effort to create the atmosphere of the previous match and to spur us on to make it to Berlin".

Individual display
"It wasn't a great match from a personal point of view. If I have to play there again I'll do it happily. Nobody is to blame".

Ramos: "We ask the fans to spur us on to make it to Berlin".

"When we lose, we lose together. Unity is what's going to make the team pick itself up. We're one step from the final and we're going to give it our all at the Bernabéu".

Morata
"He's a good friend. I don't wish him the best against us, but he's a great guy. I said hello to him after the game, and to Llorente too".

La Liga
"We have to manage to shift our focus and think about Saturday's game, because the title is at stake. We have to get the three points to keep the pressure up".

James: "The Bernabéu has to get right behind us"
"We have to have faith. We'll be playing in front of our fans, at our stadium, and the Bernabéu has to get right behind us, it has to be at fever pitch, so that we can go out there to win. I think that we can make it through to the final".

"If you look at the moments in the game, I think that they had a little bit of luck, for example when I hit the crossbar. We have to put this behind us and focus on next Wednesday, which will be tough; they're going to be defending in numbers. We'll be on our ground and we have to go all out".

Unity
"Ramos did well. We all have to stick together and support each other. They showed intensity and are a typical Italian team that are strong at the back".
