Today marks 71 years since the second Copa de España

On this day 71 years ago, Real Madrid's basketball team got their hands on a second Copa de España. Our team, led by Freddy Borrás (player-coach), got the better of Joventut de Badalona in the final played in Alicante by 43-41.

Willo Galíndez was the key man in the clash, posting 17 points. On the way to the final, Real Madrid had beaten Covadonga in the quarter-finals and Canoe in the semis.
