Tonight's match at the Martínez Valero saw Carlo Ancelotti take charge of his 150th Real Madrid fixture from the dugout. The Italian coach has a record of 113 wins, 18 draws and 19 defeats, and marked the milestone with victory over Elche to clinch a place in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals. Indeed, no other coach in the club's history has enjoyed a higher number of wins in their first 100 competitive games (78).
Ancelotti becomes the seventh Real Madrid coach to reach the 150-mark, with only the following managers having overseen more fixtures than the Italian: Miguel Muñoz (605), Zidane (263), Del Bosque (246), Beenhakker (197), Molowny (183) and Mourinho (178). He has also won five different trophies at the Real Madrid helm: the Champions League, the Club World Cup, the Copa del Rey, the European Super Cup and the recent Spanish Super Cup.
