“I feel better prepeared and confident", the Argentine point guard told Realmadrid TV.
Nicolás Laprovittola was the star of this week's Real Madrid Conecta program. The Argentine point guard analysed Real Madrid's recent form in the Endesa League, where they sit top and unbeaten so far, and in the Euroleague: “We're feeling comfortable and we're doing a great job in the Endesa League, we haven't lost a game yet and we're playing with confidence. Being top of the table is hugely important and having won 10 consecutive games fills us with confidence. We're all ready to play and we've shown that. We're showing an incredibly strong mentality, this is a winning team".

“In the Euroleague we've reacted following not the best of starts and some doubts creeping in. We started out with a loss at home when nothing went right for us. The key thing was to respond and get back up to the level the competition demands of us. Pablo Laso's rotations are working and we have to keep playing with confidence. Winning away from home in this competition is very important and makes us more sure of ourselves. We're a team with a lot of experience and we still have a lot to give".

Upcoming opposition: FK Crvena zvezda
“We know how hard FK Crvena zvezda fight, they're always a tough nut to crack. They're playing at home and they've had a few games they've lost right at the end. The key thing is for the team to keep the intensity high for the full match. We're expecting a tight clash and we want to get to the end with cool heads and make the right moves like in Kaunas, when we refused to give in and took a crucial win".

The aim is always to win - you're made aware of that as soon as you walk through the door at Madrid.

“I feel good. It's my second year here and I struggled to find my place a bit in the first. I started this season with a different mentality, more aggressive. I feel better prepared and confident and get the sense the team is comfortable with me. That's important and it really helps me. Last season I was frustrated when the team dropped off as soon as Campazzo wasn't on court. This year I'm trying to make that less clear and I think things are going pretty well".

Virtues of this locker room
“It's a locker room where every member knows his place. We're able to handle a tough season with loads of matches and we know when the key parts of the season are. The team knows how to win games when they're not playing great and the aim is always to win. You're made aware of that as soon as you walk through the door here and that's one of the strengths of this locker room".

“We have players who get more or less minutes with the rotation but it's crucial that when someone's out through injury, someone else steps up. We're all active and we see every game as an opportunity. We're all committed and contributing. Having a deep squad is one of the key things because there are loads of games and it's hugely demanding. We all have to be at the level of Real Madrid, that's why they signed us".

Balance between offense and defense
“The talent is there and because of that, some people think we take it easy at the back but the team works better when we defend well, from the back out. We don't like it when we're made to feel uncomfortable and the team forces difficult situations in offense".

Next challenges
“To start off winning a title is great and especially after how we finished last season. The aim is to win every game and think about being among the top sides. We're thinking about the important things now, which means going into the Copa and key moments in good shape".
