NEWS | 18/08/2020One hundred youngsters once again this year enjoyed the experience event at the Living Word Shanghai school.
The participants enjoyed football training sessions, along with activities that promote the assimilation of the educational values of team sports, all of which came together to form a fun and entertaining programme of football-related activities. All of the activities were overseen by campus coordinators and led by coaches specifically trained in the Real Madrid Foundation's educational methodology.
The Shanghai campus featured a non-residential five-day programme that ran from 9am to 5pm; and a six-day residential programme. Both of these options offered two training sessions per day, as well as the experience activities that added to the programme from an educational point of view.
Both the campus events held in Spain and abroad offer an opportunity for thousands of youngsters to start out or continue to play football, whilst gaining the experience of living with other children for a week.
As with all of the Real Madrid Foundation's projects, the aim is always to promote sport as a healthy leisure activity, a source of fun and an educational tool that promotes the assimilation of the positive values of team sports, such as camaraderie, the desire to put in effort and achieve self-improvement, the creation of healthy lifestyle habits, respect, reasonable self-esteem, committed autonomy, equality and solidarity.
