"It was a pleasure to spend the final years of my career at this club", the former Whites' player told Realmadrid TV.
Andrés Nocioni reflected on his career as a madridista on Realmadrid TV's Real Madrid Conecta. The Argentine, who looked back on the club's ninth European Cup triumph, commented that: "That was my crowning moment at Real Madrid. Being named the MVP in Europe with a team like Real Madrid made it a very special moment. That match was really tough, against very difficult opposition in Olympiacos. We obviously had to be at 100% to try and win. I honestly didn't try to land the MVP, what I was looking to do was win the EuroLeague".
"I didn't know how many chances I was going to get in my career and ultimately to be a European champion was an incredible memory. Luckily, the game, my teammates and the coach made me stand out, but it was a team effort and wasn't just down to me. I slept well on the eve of the game and was really calm. I was really confident because of how I'd prepared and was very relaxed. The secret was in the work with the coaching staff throughout the previous six months".
Demanding year
"That year, 2015, was really demanding on a physical level. Not only did I put the effort in to become a European champion and to win the rest of the tournaments we were involved in, I also battled with the Argentine national team to be at the top. It was a physically and mentally stressful year to perform to the right level".
Assessment of time at Real Madrid
"I joined Real Madrid at the right time. I'm grateful to Madrid and all of the places I was at. I've got special affection for the three seasons I spent at the club and it was a pleasure to spend the final years of my career at Real Madrid and to enjoy the pleasure of winning some much silverware when you're thinking about retirement. I'm really grateful to everyone".
