In the 1996/97 campaign, the Argentine scored the second goal in the win over Celta.
This week, Historic Goals' featured player is Redondo. He joined Real Madrid from Tenerife in the 1994/1995 season. The Argentinian was elegance personified in the middle of the park for six seasons. Acting as the spine of the team, he brought real balance to the group.

In the 1996/97 campaign, Real Madrid hosted Celta Vigo on match day 21 in LaLiga. We're looking at the second goal in what was a 4-0 win for the Whites. Roberto Carlos fired in a corner toward the Argentine who buried a well-placed shot at the far post.
Redondo played 228 games for Real Madrid, scoring 5 goals. As a madridista he won 6 titles: 2 Champions Leagues, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 2 LaLiga titles and 1 Spanish Super Cup.
