“It's an honour and I'm extremely happy to have reached this figure as a madridista”, said the full-back.
Carvajal played his 250th Real Madrid game in the win over Éibar at Ipurúa (0-4). The full-back reaches the figure in his seventh season with the first team, having already picked up 14 titles, most notably four Champions League trophies. He's managed 166 wins in that time, scoring five goals.

At the end of the game, Carvajal reflected: "I'm thrilled to have played 250 games in this shirt. It's an honour and I'm extremely happy, and it's fantastic to be able to celebrate it with three points. We're putting in some complete performances. It was another example of that today and we kept a clean sheet. Our start set the tone for the game and that's how we have to continue. Now there's the international break and then we have a pretty tough month coming up. We have to buckle up and be ready”.

Convincing display
“The ball went in for us today and we were convincing in both boxes. When we played Betis at home, the ball wouldn't go in despite our chances, but our opposition got stronger given the score”.

“Everything is new for Hazard this season and it is not easy to adapt. Today he played a great game. We are starting to see his best version and he will help us a lot. Valverde is a real workhorse. The minutes he’s been getting are well earned. He is an example for all of us that hard work and sacrifice means a place in the team”.
