This year's Santiago Bernabéu Trophy brings together the two most decorated teams in the continental competition.
Real Madrid and Milan are set to cross paths this Saturday evening in the XXXIX edition of the Santiago Bernabéu Trophy (9:00pm CEST). The Whites' stadium will play host to a clash between the continent's two most successful clubs, who boast 20 European Cups between them. The meeting commemorates the 60th anniversary of the 1958 final, which ended in the madridistas getting their hands on their Third Cup.

After triumphing in the final in Kiev back in May, Real Madrid added to their legendary status and further cemented their dominance of the Old Continent by picking up La Decimotercera. The madridistas defeated Liverpool in Kiev (3-1), thanks to a Bale double and a Benzema strike, and wrote a new page into the competition's history books, lifting the Champions League trophy for the third consecutive year - something never before achieved in the tournament.

They will be up against a Milan side which has lifted the European Cup on seven occasions. Last time was in the 2006/07 campaign, when they beat Liverpool in Athens (2-1). The Milan club's trophy haul is completed by 1 Club World Cup, 3 Intercontinental Cups, 5 European Super Cups, 2 UEFA Cup Winners' Cups, 18 League titles, 5 Copas de Italia and 7 Italian Super Cups.
