The Croatian added his name to the list of assist providers with a stunning back-heeled pass to Kroos, who slotted home to make it 4-1 to the visitors at Mestalla.
The number of madridistas to have laid on goals so far this LaLiga campaign already sits at 10. Mateo Kovacic became the latest player to provide an assist, when he returned a one-two to Toni Kroos with a back-heeled pass that culminated in Real Madrid's fourth goal in last weekend's triumph over Valencia. This was a fine team move which once again evidenced the Whites' great ability to link up in attacking areas.

Isco and Marco Asensio lead the way in the team's assist stakes, with both having teed teammates up on four occasions. MarceloKroos and Cristiano Ronaldo are next in these standings, with three assists apiece. Lucas Vázquez and Karim Benzema have two assists to their name, whilst Casemiro, Gareth Bale and the aforementioned Kovacic have each provided one each.
