Real Madrid wear shirts to show their support for oceans campaign

The shirt is made from plastics intercepted in coastal areas of the Maldives.
The game against Sporting de Gijón saw the Real Madrid players wear special shirts made from plastics gathered from coastal areas in the Maldives and containing environmentally friendly materials, as the club offered their backing to an invitiate which bids to save the oceans.

Every year, millions of tonnes of plastic waste end up in the oceans, which places our ecosystem and, ultimately, our living environment in serious danger . In April 2015, Adidas joined forces with Parley for the Oceans, an environmental organisation and a collaborative network which seeks to raise awareness about the beauty and fragile nature of our oceans and rolls out comprehensive strategies to bring an end to their destruction.
