Ancelotti: “We need seven points to win LaLiga and we want to take them as soon as possible”

Carlo Ancelotti spoke to the press in the media room at Real Madrid City to assess the LaLiga matchday 33 meeting with Real Sociedad at the Reale Arena (Friday, 9:00pm CEST). The Italian coach explained: “There is an amazing atmosphere around the place. We need seven points to make mathematically sure of LaLiga and we want to take those as quickly as possible. It's a difficult game and we'll try and deliver our best to beat Real Sociedad.”

“Until we are mathematically certain to win the title, we have to keep fighting. We have to keep up our positive run in order to prepare well for the upcoming games and the Champions League too. There is only one way to win them, and that is by competing hard and giving it our all. Winning is the best feeling in the world and we'll have to fight and try to win tomorrow's game."

Bellingham, Rodrygo and Vini Jr.
“Bellingham has had stomach issues overnight and Rodrygo has got the flu. They stayed at home today but I hope they'll be available by tomorrow. Mendy won't be with us tomorrow but he's okay. I'd rather he stayed at home to get ready for the Champions League game."

“I have to think carefully about the starting XI because there is real fatigue and certain players have no recovered 100%. I have to consider certain things, including the goalkeeper. Courtois is fine, he will travel with us next week and will be available against Cádiz.”

“Xavi has done a good job at Barcelona, he knows the club and I think he's made the right decision to stay. It all plays an important role.
