It was a game of two very distinct halves. The first, clearly dominated by Colombia, who were led brilliantly by James. In the 10th he minute opened the scoring with his left foot, putting the ball past Quiñones after a pass from Carlos Bacca. The team again showed their superiority in the 40th minute with the same two players taking centre stage: an Assist from James allowing Bacca to score with his left. After the break, Bolivia took control of the game and were able to get level, following a Penalty taken by Arce in the 49th minute and a goal from Chumacero in the 61st. When 2-2 looked to be the final score, Cardona was on hand to give the visitors the win in the 91st minute.
