NEWS | 06/10/2015

The Real Madrid forward was chosen by the Welsh federation, the fans and the rest of the players.
Gareth Bale has been named Welsh player of the year for the fifth time in his career. The Real Madrid star, who has won this FAW (Football Association of Wales) award a record number of times, ahead of Mark Hughes and John Hartson, was presented with the accolade once again following a fantastic 2015, in which, along with his impressive statistics with the Whites, his performances with the Welsh national team, who are now just one point away from securing qualification to the European Championship for the first time in 58 years, were taken into account.

Additionally, in what was the 25th edition of this prize-giving ceremony, held in the Cardiff City Hall, the Real Madrid man was presented with two more player of the year awards: one chosen by the fans and another voted by the rest of the players, respectively.
