Croatia and Belgium drew without any goals in the third match of Group F. A result good enough to qualify the team captained by Modrić for the round of 16 for and did not help the Courtois and Hazard’s Belgium to continue in the World Cup. However, both the Croatian midfielder and the Belgian goalkeeper played the full 90, while Hazard was subbed in the second half.
Croatia, who finished second in the group behind Morocco, will play in the round of 16 against the leading team from Group E, which will be drawn from one of the following four teams: Spain, Japan, Costa Rica or Germany. The match will be played on Monday, December 5th, at 4pm (CET). Belgium, meanwhile, has ended its World Cup campaign third with a balance of one win, one draw and one loss.
