The Real Madrid Foundation, the Fundación Mutua Madrileña and the Red Cross will support the children of victims of gender violence. The Fundación Mutua Madrileña has launched Compañer@s, a scholarship programme for the Real Madrid Foundation's socio-sports football and basketball schools, aimed at the children of victims of gender violence who are covered by one of the Spanish Red Cross programmes in the Madrid region.

The National Director of Recruitment, Alliances with Companies and Marketing of the Red Cross, Jaime Gregori; the General Director of the Mutua Madrileña Foundation, Lorenzo Cooklin; and the Executive Vice President of the Real Madrid Foundation, Enrique Sánchez; accompanied by the Real Madrid ambassador, Álvaro Arbeloa, signed the agreement at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium which marks the start of the Compañer@s programme.

Values
Thanks to this collaboration, fifty youngster, boys and girls between 6 and 17 years old, whose mothers are victims of gender violence and who are attended by the Red Cross, will have a scholarship granted by the Fundación Mutua Madrileña so that they can take part in the Real Madrid Foundation social-sports football and basketball schools together with the other participants, facilitating their normal integration and the acquisition of positive values and sports skills.

Inclusion and integration
The Real Madrid Foundation social-sports schools are characterised by their educational, inclusive and integrating nature, combining the teaching and learning of team sports, whether football or basketball, with education in the positive values of sport, which contribute to the integral formation of youngsters: respect, motivation, self-esteem, companionship, healthy habits, autonomy and equality.

The Compañer@s scholarship program will facilitate these youngsters, in especially difficult life situations, to enjoy a weekly sport-educational activity with the badge of their dreams, generating in them the necessary motivation for the overcoming and the acquisition of positive values for the future.
