“It's good to see Cristiano and Benzema getting amongst the goals”, Marcelo admitted.
Nacho started in Real Madrid's win over APOEL in Nicosia. The centre-back, who scored the Whites' third goal, spoke to the press after the game: “I am very happy with what we are doing. Today was an almost perfect performance and it was a good account of the team's play. It was a quiet game defensively, we didn't concede and scored six”.

“We are happy with the consistent level of performance throughout the game. We saw Karim was happy after scoring two goals and that is positive for the whole team. We know that we are Real Madrid and you can never rule us out. With hard work and level heads things will work out and we will be fighting until the last”.

"Scoring goals is always a good thing for me and the team. At the end of the day, the important thing is that we've progressed. Scoring another goal in this shirt makes me happy and let's hope that there are many more to come".

Marcelo: “We try to give the best account of ourselves”
"Peace and quiet is something that we will get, people simply are not used to that. We need to improve in every game. Every player always gives his best in order to win”.

Marcelo: “It was important that we didn't concede”.

"It's good to see them all doing well. During our poor run we've created the chances but the results didn't go our way. It's good to see Cristiano and Benzema getting amongst the goals. We created a lot of chances and have regained the confidence which had had supposedly deserted us".

"We did some very good things today. It was important to keep a clean sheet, we controlled the game throughout and head home happy. We also emerge from this game with more confidence than usual".

"We don't think about that. There are people who try to knock down what we've achieved and these things happen in football. The performance is never perfect and we need to do more than just the usual to keep people quiet".
