"When we were a man down we didn't lose our belief, we were united and took a point", insisted Keylor Navas.
Gareth Bale spoke to Realmadrid TV to explain the incident which saw him receive his marching orders: "I don't believe that it was deserving of a red card. I was shown the yellow for the foul, I was then pushed and I just pushed him back. I want to apologise to the team and the fans. I hope to learn from my mistake".

"We've got a tough game this weekend at Éibar and two days later we face Napoli in the Champions League. We have to keep on fighting in every game".

Navas: "We didn't lose our belief"
"We found ourselves in a tough situation, but you've got to look at the fact that we were united and even with a player less, we didn't lose our belief and we had the confidence to keep going. We got a point, which isn't what we were after, but it's still a useful one for us".

Bale's dismissal
"He has spoken to everyone to apologise and he feels bad. We're a united group and we win and lose the games all together. He is part of that and he can't be blamed for anything".

Navas: "We have to keep fighting to achieve our aims".

“I don’t wish to talk about the referees. They are human beings and everyone makes mistakes. They come here to do the best they can. We have to keep fighting to achieve our aims. We need to just concern ourselves with giving our very best. We are not worried; we know that in every game we will go out to win”.

"I always try to give my best. I was called into action four times and made a mistake on one of them. People can complain obviously, but I always look to improve. In these moments, you have to keep going, but I know I’m capable of landing on my feet and can move on, ready and proud to wear this shirt”.

“Mine is centered around working hard and performing as best I can. You never know what might happen in the future, but for the moment I am defending this shirt right to the end, as I always do”.
