Tamaulipas daily El Mercurio reads: “Chicharito was in the search of glory throughout the night”. The Milenio Diario ran with “Javier Hernández scores the best goal of his career”. El Financiero described the scenes in the stadium as follows: "The Santiago Bernabéu, packed to the rafters with 82,000 fans, acclaimed Chicharito; they cheered, clapped, jumped around and shouted their heads off. According to TV Azteca, "the Mexican is the hero for sending Real Madrid through to the Champions League semi-finals with a last-gasp winner”.
