DESCRIPCION
The socio-sporting school in Ben Guerir carries out its activity at a Social Protection Facility by the name of Assadaka-Benguerir Social Complex, run by the Associación para la Integración del Menor PAIDEIA in collaboration with the public administration Entraide Nationale and the local Moroccan association, Raouabit Assadaka. Ben Guerir is situated in a largely rural province marked by high rates of rural exodus and limited resources and infrastructures for education, healthcare and sport.
The Social Centre has been set up in these vulnerable circumstances as a socio-education space which provides residence, professional formation workshops, educational support and leisure activities to youths at risk of social exclusion. Through the Real Madrid Foundation’s socio-sporting school, the children can enjoy sporting activities free of charge. The beneficiaries of the school are young people with no guardian who find themselves at risk of social exclusion (single-parent families with scarce resources living in deprived areas). As well as sporting aspects, the children participate in educational activities (extra-curricular classes) and have access to psychological support.
