Chus Mateo: “The higher up we are in both competitions, the better"

Chus Mateo spoke to Realmadrid TV on the day prior to the clash with Fuenlabrada on the road on matchday 24 in the league (6:30pm CET): “There are lots of games during the year and we're doing a good job, treating each game differently. We have to look after our guys from a physical point of view and be ready mentally so as soon as one game finishes, we can be thinking about the next one. It's a long-run thing and then we come to the key moments, when we have to compete and be ready. That's what we're looking at now”.
 
“The higher up we are in both competitions, the better. We have to try and be up there to make the most of the advantages it brings. They're fighting to keep afloat and we have to be aware of their situation in the table. We have to be well focused in that sense. We have to respect Fuenlabrada and that means respecting our preparations as well".
