Courtois: IFFHS World Goalkeeper of the Year 2022

Thibaut Courtois has received theaward for best goalkeeper in the world in 2022 by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS). The Madrid player won the Champions League, LaLiga, the European Super Cup and the Spanish Super Cup last year, in which he was awarded the Yashin Trophy and was also voted Champions League final MVP.
 
This is the second time Courtois has received the accolade, having won it in 2018. The Real Madrid goalkeeper beat Emiliano Martínez, Bono, Livakovic and Lloris in the IFFHS voting.
