Final places remaining for the Foundation's football and basketball social sports schools

The Real Madrid Foundation's football and basketball social sports schools will get back underway from the 1st of October to mark the start of the new school year. These value education and integration projects using sport as a vehicle, will benefit 5,000 boys and girls.
 
Although the majority of places have already been filled, there are still some remaining at certain projects, such as the football schools in Valdebernardo, Plata y Castañar, El Pozo and La Quinta de Asturias; and basketball ones in Avenida de América, La Masó and the Aravaca-Pozuelo area. Registration is still open and can be completed online via this website.
 
New elements
For the first time, this season sees three social sports schools adapted for young people with functional diversity: two basketball ones at the Mater Immaculata and Estudio 3 schools; and one football school in Alcobendas. Outside of the Community of Madrid, most notably is the football school in collaboration with Novo Chiclana. Thanks to the support of our collaborators, both individuals and organisations, many beneficiaries and collectives have the chance to apply for scholarships and part-scholarships for these activities. What's more, the children of season-ticket holders, Madridista card holders and Foundation collaborators will enjoy reduced-price registration, in order to help all young people enjoy high-quality sporting practice without limits or differences.
 
Help for over-18s
There will also be a new assistance line aimed at over-18s. These football schools will be run at the Luis Aragonés municipal sports centre (Fridays from 6:00pm to 7:30pm); while the basketball version will take place at the Mater Immaculata school (Fridays from 8:00pm to 9:00pm). The project is also open to all those who wish to start practicing football or basketball, improve their performance and/or share a space with other participants who share their concerns. All of this will take place in an atmosphere of training and recreation, following the guidelines of the educational project, For a REAL Education: Values and sport, adapted to meet the needs of those involved.
