Six-hundred boys and girls in eight locations across the Dutch and French Antilles are set to attend the Real Madrid Foundation’s football and values clinics. In conjunction with Noord F.C. and thanks to the support of a number of organisations, over 60% of the participants will benefit from a scholarship to attend the unique experience
Julio González Ronco, managing director of the Real Madrid Foundation, and Brian van der Bergh, a director at Noord F. C., unveiled this new link-up, which comes on the back of the successful clinics held in Curaçao and Bonaire in the summer of 2019, and in Aruba and San Martín in 2020.
At risk of exclusion
This summer, between 27 June and 26 August, will see clinics take place in eight Caribbean islands: four in the Dutch Antilles: Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao and Sint Marteen and four in the French Antilles: Saint Martin, Martinique, San Bartolomé and Guadalupe. It is worth highlighting the high percentage of minors at risk from exclusion who, thanks to the collaboration of Coca Cola, Banco di Caribe, Digicel and the tourism office in Sint Marteen, amongst other sponsors, will be able to enjoy the experience.
González Ronco commented: “We’re sure it’ll be a success and that the children will play, have fun and share football’s positive and universal values.” For his part, Brian van der Bergh stated: “We’re really pleased with this new partnership with the Real Madrid Foundation and to be adding to our activities across all of the islands.”
