Casemiro: "It was a great game and a hard-earned win"

Real Madrid claimed three points against Sevilla which keeps them at the top of the table. According to Casemiro: "It was a game between two teams who are probably playing their best football of the season. It was a great game against a side that have a clear style of play and a great coach, who I have a lot of respect for. It was a hard-earned win".
 
"In the first half in particular we struggled to get build up play from the back. Sevilla are a very good team, we knew it was going to be a difficult match, they play very good football and have a lot of quality players. The important thing is that we came away with the three points".

"He knows that the teams are going to make it difficult for him because they realise that he's a very important player for Real Madrid. Great players score great goals whenever they get the chance. We know he's a great player, he's a difference maker when he gets the chance".

"It's important for us to play at home with the fans behind us. The coach makes it very clear that the substitutions are important. The players who came on today did very well. We're Real Madrid and we have to have a strong squad".

"It was very close, but as I always say, the VAR is there to help. If VAR didn't award it, it must be clear that he didn't touch it".

"Games against them are always very difficult, they're a very hard-working team. We'll improve in the next game for sure, we kept fighting today and we managed to get the win. The coach fixed a few things and in the second half if there was a team that could win it was us. Vini struggled to get into the game, but then he got a great goal".

“When we headed in at half-time at 1-1, we knew we were in with a chance of winning and that we were up against the strong side, but with the help of our fans, we managed to turn things around. The substitutes, Valverde and Camavinga, gave us a great boost. Sevilla had played in the Champions League and that also takes its toll”.
