Zidane's men go in search of victory in Matchday 3 of the Champions League group stage (9pm CET).
Tonight sees Real Madrid play host to Inter Milan in Matchday 3 of the Champions League group stage (9pm CET). Zinedine Zidane's side, who line up in Group B, welcome the Italian outfit to the Di Stéfano as they bid to claim a pivotal three points in the battle to progress to the next round.

It promises to be a tough encounter, but Madrid head into the match brimming with confidence following last weekend's comprehensive win over Huesca and having hit nine goals in their last three games. The Whites face an Inter side who drew with Parma in their latest league outing and currently lie sixth in the standings. The two teams have faced off 15 times in European competitions.

Real Madrid have netted nine times in their last three outings.

"We want the three points and are going to go all out for them", commented
Zidane in his pre-match press conference. In the quest to claim victory, the madridista boss has named a 21-man squad, which features Raphaël  Varane,  who stressed the importance of the encounter: "We have to approach the game as if it were a knockout tie. We must give our all and get the win".

Three European Cups
Inter, who have three European Cup triumphs to their name (1964, 1965 and 2010), came into this season's Champions League after finishing runners-up last time round. Antonio Conte's charges drew both of their opening two group-stage contests, against Shakhtar and Borussia Mönchengladbach.
